About Pointbound Logistics

Pointbound Logistics is a founder-led independent logistics service built around responsibility, judgement and personal accountability. The business was created by Byron Douglas, whose working life has developed across more than three decades of service, customer-facing work, independent operation and practical responsibility in London, Birmingham, across the UK and beyond.Pointbound did not begin simply with the idea of becoming a courier company. It grew out of a much longer journey through hospitality, concierge and access-focused environments, field operations, self-employment, courier and delivery work, and roles requiring reliability, discretion and direct responsibility for getting things done. Across very different working environments, the common thread has remained the same: understand what is required, deal properly with people, adapt when circumstances change and take responsibility through to completion.

Years of working independently have shaped the way Pointbound operates today.
Byron is accustomed to navigating unfamiliar environments, dealing directly with customers and organisations, planning routes, travelling with purpose and making practical decisions without needing every step dictated in advance. Experience across public transport, rail, streets, airports and varied working environments has reinforced the importance of preparation, communication and sound judgement.

Pointbound starts by understanding what needs to be moved or handled, where it needs to go, when it needs to be there and what matters most to the client. The route and mode are then selected around the assignment, rather than forcing every job into one fixed delivery method.

Pointbound is deliberately personal. Clients are not simply passed into a large anonymous network and left wondering who is responsible. Where Byron personally undertakes the work, responsibility stays with him from first contact through to completion.
